1. Thanks to Sameeksha my embroidery work is being appreciated by my friends and relatives for its neatness and colourful designs. The course director Sujaya Mahesh pays a very keen attention to neatness. At Sameeksha not only I am able to learn Indian embroideries like Kantha and Kamal Kadai but also exotic embroideries of other countries like Brazil. 2. Best thing at Sameeksha is that we not only do the students make stitch and motif samplers but also a project at the end of each type of embroidery. This helps the student to learn about the application of the embroidery. Thanks to Sameeksha I have been successfully able to apply the embroideries to aprons, baby frocks, cushion covers, money bags, spectacle cases, placemats and salwar kameez etc |

"Mrs Sujaya is an extraordinary teacher with tremendous experience. Her patience with the novice learners like me motivated me to learn Embroidery without quitting midway. The high quality work displayed in the classroom (made by her) also inspired me to try my hand at embroidery. It was a pleasure being trained by her and I continue to keep honing my skills." |

From being a professor in Home Science, Sujaya Mahesh felt it was time to graduate to something new. Something that would combine her love for teaching and her innate entrepreneurial skills. And so, she started her very own school - the Sameeksha School of Embroidery combining an in-school boutique as well. Talk about two-in-one! Thats Sujaya for you: creative businesswoman par excellence! |
